ACT/SAT prep, college essays, and academic support — one coordinated plan
Help your student bloom into their college story.
We are different. Bloom pairs ACT/SAT coaching, essay coaching, and additional academic support into one continuous plan — the same coach, from start to finish.

Three services, one continuous plan
Most families come to us for one thing and stay for the rest. The test date, the essay, and the academic support — so we handle them as one plan, not three separate errands.
ACT & SAT Preparation
Coaching built around this student's score report, not a generic syllabus
We start from where you are — prior tests, a diagnostic test, previous prep work, and so on — and build a schedule around a foundation of:
- Context
- Strategy
- Pacing
Always leveraging strengths.
College Essays
Editing that sharpens a student's voice instead of replacing it
We ask questions before we suggest edits. The goal is a stronger version of what the student may want to say, and may include:
- Brainstorming sessions for discovery
- Editing rounds with tracked comments, not rewrites
- Supplemental application essays for every school on the list
- Assistance with navigating the Common App
Additional Academic Support
1:1 academic tutoring for the courses weighing on a student's GPA
1x1 academic tutoring:
- Math
- English
- Economics
- History

Information available upon demandWhat actually makes the difference
None of this is complicated. Your student will have the same tutor throughout the process. It comes down to paying close attention to each student. We have 20 years of college tutoring experience, helping students who want to raise their scores even a point or two, and those who excel at one discipline and are more challenged with others. We have extensive experience with language immersion students and also those who need help to raise their confidence and scores more significantly.
Same tutor, whole season
A student keeps the same coach from diagnostic test through test day, and often the same advisor through essays and applications — no handoffs, no re-explaining.
Parents stay informed
After every session, parents get a short note on what was covered and what's next — no surprises about progress heading into deadlines.
Plans change as scores do
We re-diagnose every few weeks and adjust the plan. A student who's already strong in math spends that saved time on the section that needs it.
One focus, done well
This is our job.
Built for the whole household
Students and parents usually want different things from this process. We try to give both.
For students
You're not signing up for more homework — you're signing up for someone who will actually look at your practice tests and tell you what's worth fixing first.
- Sessions scheduled around your actual week, not a fixed slot
- Essay coaching that keeps your voice, not ours
- Direct texting access to your tutor between sessions
- We are your advocate
- We are experienced supporting neurodiversity
For parents
You want to know your student is on track, and you want a straight answer about where the college process actually stands.
- Progress notes after every session
- One point of contact for the entire application season
- Facilitate test accommodation and registration process
